Over time, human beings have developed extraordinary tools to help live better and longer lives, and have utilized natural resources efficiently. Artificial intelligence is becoming an even more extraordinary tool as it becomes more sophisticated.
It is the way that we teach a machine, robot or synthetic substance to perform functions that may not be easily performed by human beings in a very short period of time and at high speed.

Here are some mind-blowing statistics.
Artificial intelligence is the magnification of human capability and power, for better or for worse. It is a tool not much different than a screwdriver where we cannot open the screw with our hands so we use it to leverage our capability to unscrew.
Machine learning is going to open new horizons beyond the capabilities that human beings have been limited to, but we have to ask the question, “What do we want to use this tool for, and how do we want to use it?”
For example, we can unscrew a screw, the scrape it against the floor to make a weapon. We can use a tool for good or for bad. The same thing applies to artificial intelligence.
Artificial intelligence and machine learning can be great tools
Technology will not help humanity unless it is utilized correctly. But all in all artificial intelligence can be a great tool for physicians.
There is a huge misconception and false belief floating around social networks and industries claiming that artificial intelligence will be able to replace physicians. Obviously that could happen if you let it be replaced — but is that a good idea?
Let’s use UK for an example. Currently the UK is investing big money on artificial intelligence and machine learning especially in healthcare sector. There’s chaos going on with national health system which is one of the oldest single-payer systems in the world. Government month has run out of money to fund national health system. I presume one of the main reasons to implement artificial intelligence is to cut back down the resources that are costly and speed up the patient diagnosis and treatment.
But while doing this they are starting to see more challenges before they even ensure implementing it properly. They are trying to use the utilitarian style of treatment and make sure they’re constituents get treatment from technology and Providers instead of patient getting treatment from his or her doctor.
They are also facing a job crisis on top of what they already have to deal with .
Let’s be realistic
Human life is about human relations, the social environment, our interactions and perception of the world from our human perspective.
Let’s not forget health and humanity is not about few lab tests, radiological findings or some mathematical formula or some computer algorithm. It is a significant component of quality of life and personal choice that comes with it. As we know we have to take into account individual choice and preference not only on quality of life but also how long that quality lasts. And that is no algorithm or mathematical formula that would be able to solve this problem.
