This is the San Gabriel Valley AI and Machine Learning Group’s regular monthly meeting.
The SGV AI group has grown quite a bit over the past few months, but we would like to expand further, so please invite a friend or colleague to the meeting.
Arrive early to get settled in and order food, so we can minimize the number of interruptions during the meeting. Ideally, we would like to start the meeting at 7:15.
Shang-Lin will begin the festivities with the monthly AI in the News discussion. This will be followed by two presentations:
- Daniel Stieglitz of Stainless AI will demo their “Autologger” system which is a computer vision/AI technology designed to automatically identify and log metadata from sports videos using OCR, image, scene and audio detection based on Tensorflow and trained with a proprietary training tool.
- Michelle Li will explain how to determine parameters for ARIMA time series. This talk is based on a capstone project that she recently completed at Thinkful. The slide deck and source code is available at her Github page: https://github.com/michellekli/visitor-forecasting
We cater to everyone from the curious to the professional. Please join our Slack channel and mailing list at http://sgvai.org.
