Very RARE, large labeled: Knickerbocker, jointed antique felt cloth doll

Description

As advertised in
"Playthings"
magazine, July, 1935*
Here is an extremely rare,
large, 24" tall,
early stuffed felt cloth, chubby toddler child doll with hard felt, molded-type face (resembles an early
Lenci,
also similar to the Alexander cloth
Dionne dolls
). She has a
swivel neck
, adorable features including brown eyes with
real lashes,
original short auburn mohair, curly wig with hand stitched part, jointed at shoulders and hips with nice flat feet that make her stand easily, adorable pudgy body, fat little hands with nicely defined, individual fingers (similar to the hands on Knickerbocker's, Snow White, Dwarf dolls) and curved arms and legs with shaped calves with
firmly straw-stuffed head
.
She wears her
original
TAGGED: Knickerbocker New York,
blue printed cotton dress with red velveteen collar and pearl buttons, matching tam with red velveteen band, also original, one-piece teddy undies. Very rare doll from
circa 1930s
, no moth damage.  She is in e
xtremely good overall condition with no moth bites, no stains or tears and no repairs or odors as she is from a smoke free home (*stitching on her head seam is solid but shows wear & could be mended)
