VASELINE EAPG "Bee" covered dish

Description

These were originally made by Bryce Bros in the late 1880s and then later reproduced for LG Wright (I think) Some may think it to be a marriage with the crystal cover and vaseline base...maybe, maybe not. I have both examples and think this one is much more impressive than the "all vaseline" example. The crystal lid shines like a diamond with the yellow twinkling through! I don't think the repro's were done in crystal so its assumed that this dish is an old one. Seller won't be offended by any additional info or opinions. Only selling it due to a lack of display space...if you buy this and aren't thrilled with it, as with all our sales we'll be glad to have it back!

A much smarter eBayer than I tells me that this was never repro'd but that being the two colors probably does make it a "marriage"
It still makes an impressive statement for a dish that's 130 years old!
