For Beatles fans, a chance to own a rare and really cool piece of history. Here is a double-sided page taken from original Beatles Bass player Stuart Sutcliffe's Hamburg Art School sketchbook, which has sketches and writing drawn by Stuart while studying under the tutelage of Eduardo Paolozzi in Hamburg, Germany in October 1961. Stu was a very gifted artist, his paintings are quite stunning, and he had a wonderful mind and future that was never to be. Stuart died in Hamburg on April 10th, 1962 at the age of only 21, as most Beatles fans know. Being a bass player myself and a huge Beatles fan, and someone who has studied their Hamburg period intensely, I always felt an affinity with Stuart. The sketches were sold as part of lot 429 in the Stuart Sutcliffe Archive Auction held at Bonhams on the 29th July 2003. The page measures about 14.7cm x 20.8cm (5.8 inches x 8.2 inches). I rate the condition as Very Good Plus easily.
