Up for sale is an absolutely perfect vintage canary yellow Vaseline glass octagon-shaped luncheon plate in the "Crackle" pattern! Several different companies made versions of this very popular pattern - L.E.Smith, Federal, and McKee are just three of the companies that are mentioned in my reference books. The crackle pattern is embossed on the glass, and there are actually two of these luncheon plates available for sale in this auction. The bid price is for one plate, and the buyer has the option of taking the other one if desired. Both of these plates are immaculate - there are no chips, cracks, flakes, fleabites, nicks or roughness whatsoever, and the glass is nice and shiny with no stains, utensil scratches or oxidation. They have an awesome Vaseline/uranium glow when they're exposed to blacklight, and they're absolutely guaranteed to be vintage - not reproduction or new glass. They measure 8 inches in diameter from flat side to flat side. From point to point they measure 8 1/2 inches across. The Crackle pattern can be seen photographed in Gene Florence's "Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass". The buyer will pay shipping and insurance (insurance is automatically included in the shipping calculator as a “handling fee” unless otherwise requested). Shipping will be combined for the winner of more than one item whenever practical. Shipping is normally within 24 hours after receipt of PayPal payment (if other payment options are desired, please don’t hesitate to inquire). Please feel free to e-mail any other questions or requests for additional photos, and thanks very much for looking!!
