OLD ADA CLAY Frankoma MCM Prairie Green Salt & Pepper Shakers w/Stoppers

Description

This sale is for the OLD Plainsman Frankoma made from the original clay deposits found near Ada, Oklahoma by John Nathaniel Frank, which is why they are priced a tad higher than other listings, which are newer Frankoma.
The way to test Frankoma is to check the unglazed underside. If you moisten the fired clay, it doesn't darken.
See photos of these pieces to see what ADA CLAY looks like. The newer Frankoma is not from the original Ada clay because eventually the original deposits were depleted.  Among some collectors of Frankoma, the ADA CLAY older pieces are the most desirable and valuable.
The original stoppers are intact. I will be shipping with salt and pepper still in the shakers.
