Description
Northwood Klondyke Canary Opalescent Vaseline Glass Bowl Card Receiver. Measuring approx. 7 ½” across and 3” tall, this lovely circa 1889 bowl or card receiver is in very good antique condition with no chips or cracks found. This triple footed bowl is a beautiful example of EAPG glass from Harry Northwood’s The Northwood Company, Indiana, Pa. 1896-1899. Made with uranium to get the yellow color, it glows green under blacklight. There is a opalescent spot (see photos) in the edge scrolls and a couple of bubbles in the glass, typical in glass of this era. The EAPG pattern is also known as Jackson.
