    Description

    Buttercup antique doll 1924. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
    On Sep-29-20 at 18:21:56 PDT, seller added the following information:
    Stuffed cotton sateen pre-printed doll in the likeness of "Buttercup" from the Toots & Casper comic strip. It appears the doll is machine sewn and the stuffing is very tight. It is unknown if this doll was purchased already made or if the printed fabric was obtained and the doll then constructed. The proper left arm is split open and reveals that the body is stuffed with hay. The doll has a red shirt, white bow tie, blue and white striped pants. The face is outlined in black but the interior of the mouth is red. Printed on the back of the neck: "Buttercup/by permission of/Jimmy Murphy/copyright 1924 by/King Features Syndicate, Inc."
    The shoes are missing but the curl that is usually missing is there. The doll itself is still in tact perfectly with no rips or tears. Please message with any further questions
