    ANTIQUE METAL Brass CARRIAGE TAG, "The Evangeline Buggy, Made especially for John Latour, Carencro, LA" Louisiana - near Lafayette.
    I do not know the age of this tag but assume it is from the late 1800's.  It is in very good vintage condition.  The words can be felt with your fingers as they are recessed under the black surface.  I'm sure there is a name for this printing process but I do not know it.
    I acquired a small collection of antique buggy tags about 30 years ago which I am now selling.  Watch for the other tags to appear.
