Antique late 1880s Victorian Canary Yellow “Vaseline” glass bowl 9.5”W x 3.5”H with Fern Pattern; Excellent Condition
Lovely Antique late 1880s Victorian Canary Yellow “Vaseline” glass bowl 9.5”W x 3.5”H with Fern Pattern; excellent near mint condition other than a small fleabite on base rim. See Pictures. Pictures are part of the description. Vaseline glass was primarily manufactured from the 1840’s through WWII when all uranium and related supplies were confiscated for war use. Uranium glass manufacture was halted until 1958 where there was a short resurgence of uranium glass manufacture and then once again ceased in the 1970s. Vaseline glass is yellow or yellow green glass with uranium oxide in its batch; causing fluorescence under ultraviolet light a/k/a “black light”. This is a Family Heirloom. This bowl has a “fernlike” design overall; is in excellent antique condition with a miniscule fleabite on the bottom rim. See pictures. Pictures are part of the description. I have a number of Vaseline glass pieces including Fenton Gone with the Wind Poppy Lamp, Vases, Burmese bowels and baskets and other Vaseline/uranium pieces which I will be liquidating from my estate; so be sure to add Heirloomhunter101 to your Favorite Sellers for quick return.
