Compare your old struts (and to be sure they did work at one time) to the Specifications on these new struts – to much pressure and the lid will not stay shut (it will just open on its own) – not enough pressure and the lid will not stay up! 2-5lb will not make a big difference when you are using 60-150lb struts (really all struts vary a bit when filled – I have not ever seen a strut that has the exact pressure IE. 78.683lb????)
