Employees with Data Scientist in their job title in San Francisco, California earn an average of 27.1% more than the national average.

These job titles also find higher than average salaries in Seattle, Washington (13.3% more) and New York (6.3% more).

An early career Data Scientist with 1–4 years of experience earns an average total compensation of $94,617 (based on 6,650 salaries).

A mid-career Data Scientist with 5–9 years of experience earns an average total compensation of $108,521 (based on 1,883 salaries).

An experienced Data Scientist with 10–19 years of experience earns an average total compensation of $121,108 (based on 564 salaries).

In their late career, 20 years and higher, employees earn an average total compensation of $136,653.
